Old Ashy only objects to British Colonialism.

He supports Irish Colonialism in as far as he believes Rockall to be Irish (even thought it is 75 miles closer to Scotland).

:ROFLMAO:
He also entirely overlooks Irish participation in the Empire and imperial trade that benefited Ireland and, of course, all of the historical exploits of both of his EU masters and his fellow catamites under them - never mentions any of Germany's genocides, or Belgium's horrific history, or France's exploits and current colonies, or the Dutch in the East Indies, or the Italians (fair enough I suppose :ROFLMAO: ), or the Spanish and their 'conquests', or little Portugal and it's truly world-beating record on slaving, not to mention the rest. I wonder why not...

Do you live in the UK?
He claims to live in the Republic of Ireland, and he may well do; but we've no evidence for that, or that he's even an adult - so could be teenager in Moscow for all we know. :)

Must make him choke on his cornflakes every time he considered how many Irishmen served in the British army/navy in the past few hundred years alone.

If it wasnt for the people who live on the falklands wanting it to remain british i would give it back. No disrespect to our soldiers who fought there but we shouldnt lay claim to it anymore. Argies always stir it up when there countrys on its arse to promote abit of national pride but even looking on map a fool can see its madness we lay claim to it. Its a weeping sore on both sides and once again we should lead the way and do whats right imo

If the citizens of the Falklands felt they were Spanish or Portuguese, I agree it would be up to them to fudge the British off and join the nation they want to be considered part of. But they consider themselves British and that is that. Lots of countries retain links with their historical founders or colonial powers. The UK is not unique in this respect nor does it have an guarantee this situation will not change in future- countries are free to leave the commonwealth if they so wish.

I clearly pointed to multiple European colonial powers, including the Pope.
Oh, Rockall is ours. You are just sore, since Leo and Simon, inflicted a heavy defeat on Boris and Arlene, in the Battle of Brexit. Arlene had to flee to GB News, to seek sanctuary.
Back to Rockall. The annexation of Rockall, was the very last sting of the dying wasp of the British Empire. No legitimacy whatsoever. Plus you well know, once you are in a United Ireland (any day now), you will want to claim Rockall from that other pest Fishwoman in Edinburgh.

But why should Argentina have any rights to it. Argentina didn't even exist as a country when the Falklands was first colonised by Europeans and is over 400 miles from their coast. France, Spain and the USA would all have better historical claims than they do.

Does it matter one single bit? Only a dumb fkuwit can with the benefit of hindsight, justify the invasion, subjucation and pillage of another country.

Ah FFS that’s ridiculous. The Celts turned up with working visas and stayed on, when the locals didn’t want to do the menial tasks, such as cleaning out the cave.

Let's not forget, any country that has coastline that faces Antarctica gets rights to a piece of Antarctica, all those oil and mineral rights. Might be hard to extract now but in the future?
British Antarctic Survey anyone?
