Some just love massey hating for some reasonBloody hell is there no where that I’m not seeing these memes
So I’m told this one that’s just came is £20k cheaper than the top spec models we have … and tbf it’s quite nice too drive even for a basic specTo be fair if it’s software that can be updated it not all bad, better then stuff falling off them!
I still think they looks tops sadly my poultry livedtock operation could prop never justify one even when there 10years old
Two mechanical spools on a tractor that size and price (yes, there probably is two electric ones also)? Now i've seen everything. This turned up the other day… not seen one like this before so thought might be interesting for some…

Yeah 2 electric also… it’s going to spend its entire life on a slurry pump or carting silage/maize so no need for anything fancyTwo mechanical spools on a tractor that size and price (yes, there probably is two electric ones also)? Now i've seen everything.
agreed some one wining in other thread on about 'why all electric spools' now they put manual in and make it cheaper and people are not happy you cant win!!!Yeah 2 electric also… it’s going to spend its entire life on a slurry pump or carting silage/maize so no need for anything fancy
I drove it about quite a bit today and apart from the fact you have to adjust the 2 electric spools on the door pillar screen which is a bit akward too do I wouldn’t really say I felt like it was any different too driving the top spec equivalent …agreed some one wining in other thread on about 'why all electric spools' now they put manual in and make it cheaper and people are not happy you cant win!!!
im sure people were wanting a std gear box (powershift) and std spools if it saves 20k surely you got to be happy with that
The 40k thing is the brakes thinking they’re split bloody annoying, can be sorted with a loop of wire bypassing it .I’m finding it keeps resetting the speed limiter to 40kph and turning the 3point linkage suspension off. Do others do this as a safety feature or just mine.
Ours is just rattling about too. Thought I’d lost it the othe day when I went drillingI was wanting one of them but by the time you added the extra things that we needed it was cheaper to go for the top spec.
when ours came the 7 pin plug where you can get a speed signal from was connected but not mounted anywhere, just rattling around in the fuse box. Anyone else’s like that.
Just seen one today, dobsons have 2 in, I have to say everyone harping on about how big they are just seems ridiculous there was a 7720 and it looked no bigger, cab is bigger on 8s, but overall length width etc there’s barely anything between them?
'god its massive' certainly was not my first thought anyway, for 225 bhp i though it seemed fairly reasonable?
I’ve added my 5 year old for scale!

The new 8s cab in terms of Comfort and visibility is in a different league to the 7s in my opinion. Once you've driven one a few hundred hours you'd think the same.Big or small, it’s still one ugly b@stard!
Edit, my local MF dealers had a new 6S.180 outside the other day and it really caught my eye, it looked really smart and modern. Really not sure why they went the direction they did with the 8S, big boxy cab and square mudguards.
