Not being in the EU, that aspect's none of our business anymore* despite us having a detached but obvious interest, yet Hungary is in NATO and, under Orban, clearly isn't much of a team-player. He seems to have determined not to help Ukraine beyond the barest minimum, and not to criticise let alone penalise Russia beyond the barest minimum.
What if Russia has a go at the Baltic states, or Poland; can this fellow really now be trusted to respect Article 5?
He clearly has a lot of popularity in Hungary; perhaps it's just a generational thing, and I'd be loathe to see Hungary leave NATO, but he really needs a kick up the backside. But how, without insulting or harming the Hungarian people?
* Though I welcome comment from anyone in the EU about what they think it - meaning the EU - should or can do about Orban, if anything.
