What are most people using to put out temp. electric fence polywire? Just by hand with geared reel? Or from the quad bike?

Got some 300m long strip grazed breaks, gets a but tedious with the walking for 2 breaks a day... #lazy
Strictly 4 wheeler. Measure break size, hook the handle on, drive as fast as you want, hook reel up hot, stand on one side of four wheeler and put posts in as you go by.

Taking them down usually go to reel first, unhook, take posts out, remove handle, drive back and roll up. For max efficiency roll out your next break wire while driving back to roll up the one you took down. We use zammr handles but rarely make them hot

Dare we ask why? You haven't gone from 3 in 2 milking to 3 in 1 milking have you?
The answer to that is very simple, I've got myself in a mess and have more work than I can cope with, I can't afford anyone full time, I'm not in a position to be able to deal with/train an apprentice and relief milkers scare me (excluding my current one who does 2 milkings a week - she's fantastic but can't physically do anymore). I can milk with my eyes closed, if I try and drive anything late at night I hit things so am better off milking late

Anyone else’s cows absolutely flying? Just looked back to this time last year and we’re 14% up yoy right now. All I’m reading is how production is falling but not here.
Ha
Yesterday I checked and we are 8% down on last year.
Have sold the back end of the block and all my cows will calve in 6 weeks, so I'm putting it down to that.
14% up and 30% up in price. Someone's doing alright jack

What the hell is a normal year🙈, we've some great springs over the last 22 season and quite a few I don't want to remember, this year looking to ve a good year, but if we don't have enough rain it's soon going to turn into cactus 😬
Exactly which is why on a farm level context is important and at a U.K. production level it’s no point asking farmers. Our realities are all different.
