Yes. A local contractor dose it, brings 10 tns in a spreader and does 150-200 acres after first cut. He buys bulk salt by the artic load for sugar beet land.
Does it make a difference ? Not a clue to be honest, but when ever we do detailed soil analysis it comes back as low sodium.

I never even noticed it was therewhat did you think the little plastic hook moulded inside the handle was for? Decoration?
I had to go out and look at one to convince myself I wouldn't be a very good detective.

High mag soils here so think I should also be doing it to improve palatability? What do I need to be ordering?

been hearing a lot of smallenburg about along the south coast, both cattle and sheep, that causes deformed calves/lambs.
Haven't really heard much about it, after the initial panic stations.

I have used Yara nutriboost mid season which contains 5% salt and I think they graze the residues down better when we use it.
