Worst courier firm

Hermes drivers are all self employed. They get paid per parcel delivered... but Hermes pay so badly it isn't worth the drivers doing out of town or difficult deliveries.

Hence the countless stories around the country of Hermes drivers dumping parcels or just chucking them into gardens etc
My last place was a mile down a single track lane that was usually filthy from the farmers along the lane, the Hermes driver was and is the best courier you could ever hope to have. You could not ask for more, he really is an absolute gem.

Preferred incoming FedEx & DPD

Outgoing I use Parcelforce.

One or 2 issues with FedEx but I just ring them up and they sort it... And the Girl on the van is good.

DPD is first class and on the minute they say.

Avoid Hermes and Yodel... Hermes rock up 9oclock at night and on a Saturday... Feck off.

Our Hermes Driver does 3 or 4 rural rounds with his missus.... 2 Cars. 1800+ parcels a week he reckons.

Nice pair but the rocking up at 9 o'clock at night pisses me off. And it's the chimps that handle it before them that puts me off.

It took me a few deliveries before I learnt not to ask our Hermes driver how his day is going, now I just assume the short version of his long answer.... the day is going badly, very badly :ROFLMAO: :X3:

DPD are brilliant here ,the regular lad knows where to leave stuff and allways happy ,,Amazon drivers are a bunch of idiots ,never get the same driver ,,non of them read the signs on the front windows telling everybody ,,delivery's to back of house with a big arrow pointing the direction

Hermes chap here every time. Whole family chip in and get the job done well. Being local they know the cyustomers and locality like Post Office used to

Around here Hermes/DPD and UPS are awesome around here.
all others are pretty poor. Amazone’s own is the worst of the lot. Had a good chat with the Hermes guy today, he’s fairly local and buys eggs off me every time he’s here, his wife left 2 years ago so my wife made him Christmas dinner that year 👍🏻

This self-employed van driver thing is just wrong. I don't really order much online as I feel so terrible that someone is having to do that job. Fudging Amazon. Robs the life out of people and then doesn't pay any UK tax.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall in the DHL offices back when they tried doing grain collections...
