Looks a bit sunny in India. Maybe they need protected urea given its going to be 44 degrees c when that tender is delivered.
All Indian made urea has to be treated with urease inhibitors at the factory, it’s stipulated in Indian law. They’ve also been building fert plants over the last decade, as they obviously (and wisely) wanted to be in control of fertilising their own national food production.

But if they turn their back on Russian urea and start taking tenders from Egypt, prepare to see new season prices break through $1000/t and keep going….

Thats interesting as I was under the impression that there had been no new Indian urea facilities built from 2000 to 2019, and the new ones have only been done in the last three years. If my maths is right, this years fertiliser subsidy bill in Indian may cost £10bn. (2.5 lakh crore rupees).

The Indian farmer pays about $70/mt

Difficult to know the exact cost from CFR to delivered to farm in India but conservatively, would say the Indian Government will be paying upwards of $800/mt in subsidy

I reckon your estimate is about right, give or take a billion...

They might have cut the ribbons in the last 3 years, but actually building them takes just a little bit longer.

"Post the amendments in the policy among private players only Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd had shown interest in setting up a new urea capacity and has successfully commissioned the 1.34 million tpy capacity in January 2019. Four other plants, one of Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (RFCL), as a joint venture (JV) of Engineers India Ltd and National Fertilizers Ltd, and three plants of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL), a JV of Coal India Ltd (CIL), Indian Oil Corp. Ltd (IOC) and NTPC Ltd (NTPC) are being set up. While RFCL’s plant is expected to be commissioned in 2H21 after getting delayed by nearly 1.5 years, HURL’s plants are expected to be commissioned in 1H22."

Will these plants coming into production take India out of the world market and in a normal situation mean that there would be an excess of urea on the market.

How does it know how fast the tractor is going
GPS and it shows you a picture of the tractor your on with 4 wheels. Only thing is if a wheel falls off it won't tell you but you'll still have 4 wheels on the picture.
Wheels sensors are the way forward.🖕
