Dairy farmers quitting the industry in high numbers.

I have no idea about your dads case or what he was given, what did they claim was in his wonder drug that apparently cleared a lifelong problem in 12 hours. Perhaps it was an actual drug, maybe a herb but that would mean it wasn't homeopathy. Does he take it all the time?

You seem to be suggesting that those few drops are somehow preventing your herd from getting TB?
Great idea, we can just get rid of TB throughout the world by increasing production and just adding it to the water supply. Why haven't we thought of that before? Can we add some of @Jdunn55 dads ringworm stuff too and cure that at the same time?

Conmen love people like you.
No he took it for a few days at the beginning that’s all. The difference almost immediately was stark. I understand it doesn’t suit your narrative.

before modern medicine, those herbal concoctions were the best you could get. And some really did work, and pretty certain, if enough belief in them, you believed it worked.
And perhaps not long before we have to again, resistance to antibiotics, is increasing faster than they can develop/create new ones.
On the other hand, massive research is going into those old 'witches brews', and, surprisingly some of them work extremely well, just need to go into a bottle, rather than straight out of a witches cauldron.
The moral is, don't write off anything medical, just yet.

It's not a narrative, there is no scientific or clinical evidence to show homeopathy works beyond a placebo.
I'm not sure we're talking about homeopathy in your fathers case.
I wish it worked, think about how many problems wouldn't exist if it did.
No one would have dust allergies, Frermer bach could get rid of TB with his potion and Jd's dad could rid us of ringworm and that's just from this thread. The planet would be sorted in a week and the owners of homeopathy companies would have more money than Elon.

Some worked, some didn't, some made things much worse but to be clear herbal medicine is NOT homeopathy. Herbal medicine does at least have some active constituents. Homeopathy takes things and dilutes them out of existence, then claims its the diluted substance that provides the cure.

Don't worry about a market for your "feed" grain - The millers will suddenly find a way to incorporate an ever larger proportion into their products.

My FiL was a foreman maltster and as he said he could "make an acceptable malt of anything if the price is right"...
Inconvenient truth is people eat less than animals though.. its all part of a vegan conspiracy to price meat and dairy out of production.... could the truth be this war is actually Putin's attempt to win over Borris wife.....?

Doesn’t really matter does it. Stuff from a homeopath what ever it was helped my father at a desperate time after “modern medicine “ had failed. Get over it and move on.

They just don't stop coming, 4 sales of big numbers in 5 days from 1 market.

Sad to see in my opinion

First farm guy was/is on here, believe they ran GEA robots, talking to Kivells during the week about farm availability with all these sales and nobody seems to want to sell up completely, think if interest rate climb market may lose it's heat, but what do I know 🤔🤣

its not good news at all, and there's other sales besides that. And presumably its not just Kivells and N&B,
One things for certain, it will be a leaner dairy industry, in 12 months time.
Perhaps for those of us that remain, it will be a good thing, with both barren cows, and milk short, makes one wonder what is actually happening out there.
Exeter friday, any good cows made good prices, but the rest made the auctioneers work hard, and some went home, unsold. And 1 chap, that's been selling, started buying again.
The number of dairy farms, around us, that have gone, over the years, tells the story of the decline of small farms, scary how many of those farms, are now houses.
One wonders when the money, to buy all the cows, on the mkt, because there is private treaty as well, either comes from, or runs out.

Looking at the near future, l am glad to be producing a product, that people cannot do without, those producing luxury goods, selling holidays, etc, might not have such an easy time. Food inflation, and inflation in general, is going to cause some very unpleasant home truths to many.

And what are they going to eat
more grass, for less cows. A combination of a dry summer, and less fert used, doesn't look particularly nice. And, for us, our ground is already dry, and springs have pretty well stopped, as has our stream, earliest l think l have ever seen that. Coupled with a cool dry April, we just haven't had enough rain, there again, we might have a wet summer !

your guess, is as good as anyone else's, very uncharted waters.
what will it do for farm rents, or short FBT's
