Trimble CFX 750 EZ Pilot Remote engage switch

I'm going to use a spare Sonalert cable that has 12 pin Deutcsh DTM connector on one end, then will use pins 8 and 11 for the remote switch.

I want an armrest mounted switch, I understand I need a momentary switch, anyone any clues as to exactly which one I need?

I'd like a button ideally!

I just did this with my EZ Steer. Made a little bracket on the armrest.

Bought a random push button of 2,5pounds, guess its NO style. Works a treat. Makes a live connection when pushed, and cuts when released.

My sprayer has a NH gearshift button for the engagement.

I bought a bag of similar switches off Amazon for less than a tenner , replaced the buttons in my t6 that had got intermittent in operation.
Used red for down, green for up.

Moved the pins on a Sonalert cable (using Pins 10 & 11 for switch as don't plan to use Sonalert again).

Hadn't realised how easy Deutsch connectors are to work with!

Sounds like a good idea, how often do you miss that tiny button on the screen, especially if you are bouncing over the headland tramline?

I have heard of a foot switch being an option as you have enough to do with your hands when turning round. Obviously that would have to be quite heavy duty and not get in the way of the other pedals. Anyone got one?

I do wonder why a foot switch and remote button are not more common in the platform kits.
Certainly a remote button which seems to be standard especially for OEM kits.

Would certainly of prefered a switch to the annoying Sonalert which is to wake you in American Praires when you reach the headland.

So it's pin 8 and 11 for remote engage? Never looked at mine, but I do want to set one up on the combine

I’ve made a foot switch for the EZ steer and CFX on both my combine and one tractor. Far easier than trying to push the button on the CFX

The sonalert doesn’t make much of an alarm. I’ve slept right thru it and across the headland of 160 ft and into the ditch at an angle. Drill being 42 ft wide had drilled down the bank up the other side and about to start on the road by the time I’d woke up. Yes. I’m a heavy sleeper.

Any one ever figured out how to get past the 15 minute time limit on pulling a straight line. My fields are long and I need 17 minutes fir drilling or I have to touch a function on the screen to start the timer again.

You can enter a timeout period between 1min-60minutes. Its an option in the EZ-Pilot settings.
