I can not this had been going on for two years now, time the police brought it to a close
Wonder if I could stand at the top of the escalator in a tube station in London question commuters and cause a backup.

Fail to see why the police should allow the protestors to hold the transport up

It’s just a sad symptom of the woke government that no longer backs agriculture. If these kind of protests are not stopped, they are encouraged and assume they have mainstream support. They spread.
I’ll go and block the ‘A’ road here for a bit because I object to fuel being wasted on trips to the seaside and let’s see how long it is before I’m arrested.

The worry is that it could easily spread to be normal at most markets or abbitour's if the animal extremists decide there's no resistance from the police, Government ect 😡
That’s the problem. Refusal to crackdown on it looks like tacit approval of the protests by government.I’m sure the protests suit the agenda of many at the top of government right down to the ground.
Farmers don’t realise that they are enemy number one to the Johnson family of animal rights activists and the Goldsmith green bankers.
The are almost parallels to the kind of thing the Kremlin foments to justify “sending in the troops”. Sit back and allow enough protests to develop with a bit of tacit approval from the very top. Intimidate farmers and livestock producers. Then ban what they do with the full force of the law because it’s “what the people want”.
Absolute strokers in my view but what can I do about it?

Fairly moronic comments from the Market Chairman- telling the protestors to go and campaign against the consumer eating meat instead.

It seems strange this goes on at Norwich- doesn’t strike me as a hotbed of whackery? I’ve been to loads of markets and never seen so much as a placard.

It is a total disgrace and time for a far larger group of farmers to turn up and make sure their right to unimpeded passage on the public highway was not impeded.
time for. Lot of complaints to the useless prat of a police commissioner
Had a polite rant at the police lady on the way down to the market in which I said that the vegans should be allowed to protest on the pavement but not block the road. She said she would pass my views on to her superiorS.

Still had my window open when they made me wait and look at the protesters placards for 30 seconds. One said to me “ don’t you think it’s cruel killing animals for meat “
I replied “ no it’s the way of the world, and to be honest most of you look like you could do with a a dam good feed. “
Most looked as if they only just had the strength to hold their cardboard placards up.

OK

i've had several wranglings with the police over this issue...as usual the bobbies on the ground take the flak and the knobs at hq cite 'political correctness /procedure'....for instance you cannot raise a complaint with the 'commissioner' unless you have a failed complaint against the police officer in charge....sometimes after my complaints things have improved but it's only temporary

the protesters are combining several 'rights' and manipulating them into a combination that can be quite intimidating...it's wrong i know but thats just the way it is i'm afraid....they have the right to protest....block the road...take photos....i had one instance where a lass stood at my drivers window filming me......i must admit even a fairly 'robust' personality like myself found myself dreading the picket

then one day i was stopped....by chance i had a 'christmas head band' on the dash leftover from ferrying youngest daughter about.....i thought 'feck it' and put it on....the result was startling.....the protesters calmed down....one lady protester started smiling at me and a man thanked me for stopping:oops: .......the next time i went i wore a sombrero and dark glasses.....it is said the film they take is taken down to norwich city centre and some of it shown to public..so by wearing my 'outfit' i'm thinking filming me is rather a pointless excersize;)....on the way in a policeman flagged me down 'love it mate' he said.....anyhoo i stopped at the line ...got out my flask ... rolled a ciggie up....window down and waited for plod to move them.....then last time i wore a batman mask....flask out....started to roll a ciggie and engaged with some banter with the vegans who reckoned they liked the sombrero better....they moved quickly...plod waved me on...i said i couldn't move yet cos i'd not finished rolling my ciggie;)

1/ the first thing to recognise is that there are three factions and all three are scared/apprehensive and this in itself raises tensions 2/ expecting the law to provide a 'silver bullet' is not going to happen 3/ you can rant rave about the rights/wrongs of it all but it's not going to make any difference

so i would like to put forward my 'fancy dress' idea for worried market users because 1/it disguises your appearence making personal filming worthless 2/ it lightens the mood and defuses tensions and 3/ it shows you arn't bothered in the slightest by their efforts (whether you are or not) thus devaluing their protest:)
