Joints on my Toyota truck were squeaking, not bin on long so i didn't think it could be them , come with a blank bolt and i swap to nipple, swap back ...
They took about 20 shots each , id thought be supplied greased.
Obviously squeaking went.

Remember watching a program on vehicle making in some far off country in Asia. All to do with how efficient they were, every man had a specfic job. This one man’s was greasing joints. All day every joint that needed doing he out the same number of shots in each place, then program director asked him how often during they day the grease gun needed re filling. He replied that it wasn’t as it wasn’t his job. Had a few offshore bearing here that the balls rattle because of no grease and they are sealed. China’s way of slowly bringing down the western world lol

About like Ole and Sven, the Swedish immigrants who took a job with the state highway department...bystander was watching them work one day, Ole dug a hole and Sven came along filled it in.
Bystander inquired about the process to which Ole replied, " chust because Pete's not here to plant da telegraph poles doesn't mean vee shouldn't earn our keep does it!!"

The problem is if you pack too much grease into a sealed bearing, and through running it warms/expands and has to force some out, then it's no longer sealed... and you have the worst of all situations, as potentially it will loose it all over time.
Rightly or wrongly we have used sealed bearings for areas where you won't re-grease i.e cannot get to, or cannot be arsed.... and use normal where you can & will grease them. This is industrial use mind you with a lot of 24/7 running.
The preferred is greasable bearings every time for us. But hey, what do I know 🙂
