Good. Starmer should quit if he is fined - he supported the lockdown laws and insisted we did too. (Although from what I've seen it was a work meal so he's not in much danger. Being drunk or it being planned wasn't illegal.)

Boris should have resigned already. Not only because of the FPN but because he lied to parliament.

As I've said before, it's a 40 something and below thing. They're all at it. They do whatever they think they can get away with. Trouble is, everyone at that level is being watched, so they ain't going to get away with it.. You would hope that those at the top would at least make an attempt to behave whilst in office, but no. I see no one fit to be PM, TBH. No one.
Same in the Welsh Assembly.
All boozing, got sacked and back in doing similar jobs now again???

If it was down to Starmer we'd still be in lockdown

Nah.
Stammers shot his bolt.

The real question is...
Are the Met and Durham police forces politically corrupt?
We'll see now that Durham have been issued an ultimatum.
It will be interesting, since they refused to even investigate the Cummings eyesight testing trip. But I reckon Starmer is on a safe bet, which will make it very difficult for Johnson to do anything but resign. Particularly with the likelihood of more fines and the Sue Grey torpedoing him in the coming weeks.

Boris won't resign.
The electorate who put him where he is love a rebel who takes the pee out of the system but gets the big calls done.

So boris has cake and drinks at HIS place of work and it's a party.
Starmer has pizza and beer at a place that isnt his work place and it's not a party.
Now call me stupid but how the hell is one different from the other.
It's no wonder people dont vote or have respect for politicians

Jarvis. Then there will be some real opposition.
Yep, good for our democracy to have someone credible leading the opposition.

I'd have to see his manifesto and shadow cabinet first... but that I could even consider voting Labour, or for them not to be a threat to the country if in government, speaks volumes about Jarvis and how far ahead he is of the rest of them.

Thing is, the ultra-left nutters in Momentum still do hold a lot of sway, at constituency level and in the party as a whole; I've a friend who was targeted by them just for questioning Corbyn's stance re Israel and Palestine. Let's hope there is a purge of them as there was of Militant in the 80s.
