Those flanged bearings are Sods to get off as mentioned destroy outer to get to inner race.
Carefully and wear goggles.

Dead right.

I ended up with a Chelsea smile breaking one with a lump hammer, caught me in the corner of my mouth, an eye wouldn’t of stood a chance.

The chips were off the face of the hammer. I'd cranked the puller as tight as I dared and thought a few whacks on the side of the race would shift it

I weld all the way round the bearing I find that the best way to really get it hot quickly they often move then or even crack as they cool down

For future reference keep the old bearing inner sleeve that you cracked to get off, then next time you can weld it to the bearing and get the pullers on it
