I had an "empty" ewe lamb in a field of feeding ewes at the start of last week. Wouldn't be so bad but 5 of her cohorts scanned in lamb are still hanging on.I was away checking my rough hoggs on wintering... there's 1 of them has lambed this week
It was one I took up after scanning which is clearly marked empty

One of the largest lambs in the pen turned back and ran into the hurdle right next to me.
It gasped...Had a fit.. Died.
