More like an ungrateful bitch to me, no one asked her to go there.

Iranians aren’t Arabs, they are Persian. I worked with two highly qualified process design engineers, both of whom were women. They certainly weren’t undervalued or disrespected. Both were hard working professionals who could hold their own in a male dominated industry. Considering the sanctions they endured they made a decent job of it with meagre resources. Sure enough they had to abide by religious rules, veils, praying five times a day. I actually found the daily conversation there more respectful and generally polite all round…… as long as you didn’t rock the boat. As a Christian I found more common ground with Islamists than I do with atheists. Same root really. Different branches. But only too many people willing to provoke conflict and argument. Needn’t be so.
Sorry you are correct but the Moslem religion certainly does not encourage humanity towards a brother man.
Nigel Brennan (he has written about it, so I am nor revealing anŷthing) thought that when they escaped their captors a local mosque would provide sanctuary. The Iman just rang the kidnappers and asked them to come and pick up their victims.

Forehead throbbing chauvinistic c****s the lot of you
Could not believe my eyes when I read these comments in the night
Slug Johnson even exacerbated her plight
Nor can I. The poor woman has gone though hell and back as a political pawn, simply because the UK government had refused to pay money back to the Iranian government which was rightfully owed to them since 1974 and despite the US paying back money they owed in 2016. The regime in Iran maybe a nasty piece of work, but they are the legitimate government and the international courts ruled that the UK owed this money. And no UK citizen should be made to pay the price for government incompetency or deviousness.

As the only person on here with personal experience, iI can say tht Nazanin is an innocent pawn.
she was ill advised to go to Iran as they like to pick up such people.
her husband was very ill advised for which the FO owes a lot .
Boris was a complete tosser for his statement.
she will be very bitter for her years as a hostage , just as anyone would be in her situation.
The guilty people are those who take an innocent person hostage, nobody else
