Had a very much needed 12-15mm forecast for next few days.

Just checked weather again, it’s dropped off to 4mm if we’re lucky.
I just hope they’re wrong. 🤞

steady rain all night, no where near enough, but very welcome. What it has done, is made 2nd cut more reliable, we cut 1st early, to get 2nd early before ground dries up.
But its all guess work, the weather forecasters change their minds, on a daily basis. Have seen 1 forecast, that said june is going to be a washout. Wouldn't like to bet on that, although we need a massive amount of rain, to replenish the ground water here, winter rain has been sadly lacking, in recent years.
Although, it wasn't that many years ago, we brought the dairy inside, for a few weeks, jun/july, because it was so wet.
