Wasted 2 hours going round and round in circles trying to do this. All I've succeeded in doing is sending them back an empty spreadsheet form, I think. :X3: Think I'll just email them my details, and they can fill in the f**king spreadsheet if they want.
What a complicated load of rubbish. I see further up the thread it's an EU thing....
Thought we'd f**king left 2 years ago.

A lot of these people are not just a burden to the exchequer and taxpayer but also a massive burden and cost to businesses of all kinds. They are in a kind of job creation scheme that has made this country’s industry and farming far less competitive than otherwise. Its high time there was a massive cull of civil servants at every level down to County Hall level and a re-allocation of funding away from QUANGOS like Farming Connect and such, back to primary producers of goods and worthwhile services.
Trouble is, the only people who are in a position to do something about all this absurd crap only know how to do one thing; increase regulation. They only know this so it’ll never change.

Spoke to my agronomist this morning who then spoke to the NFU and they say they have been blind sided by this, come out of nowhere. They have serious concerns about it because dressed seed has to be declared as well and this could be seen to any lobby groups as farmers applying tons of pesticide to land each year. The advice I have received from the NFU (through my agronomist ) is to hold fire filling in the form and the NFU are going to fight it. Make of that what you will!
I've only just found out about this through a NFU email telling us we all have to fill them in, so not much fight has gone on. We are seriously thinking of not renewing our NFU membership this year.

I really wouldn't bother filling this info in until they send a demand to your business email or a letter... hopefully someone from the "union" will pick up on this thread and we will see it in more places than just Clives rant IofT... just be careful before replying... we all hate bureaucracy... red tape will only get worse now and scammers are loving it too just like @Janet Hughes Defra who clearly is also now a bot...
My concern is that farmers who don't fill in the form will give them the excuse to come and inspect you. They can apparently come unannounced.
