Wal;es always brings something. (y) Lifted from a quote by Pliny. Wales brought my wife`s uncle, Billy Rees, who travelled the world as a civil engineer but returned to his roots in Camarthenshire. He always knocked his car out of gear and coasted downhill. even with a caravan on the back. Even a loupy rally driver would not do that.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

A fascinating but long interview with a Russian prisoner and his mother on the war from a Russian soldiers eyes.

Anybody who watches this & still thinks the Russians had serious intentions to invade & had planned it down to the last detail in advance is living in a different world, these are conscripts not trained soldiers who were not expecting to have to fight anybody.
As I have said before all is not as it appears!

They had serious plans to invade.

But did not plan it, in any detail.

As said earlier the only thing not sh!t in russia is the pee.

Just watched the first ten minutes or so; either that young fellow is a phenomenally good actor, or he's telling the truth.

Not excusing the atrocities committed, but it really is unfair to expect a young and naive boy to turn a gun on his commanders, or surrender at once, after what he'd been exposed to. It really isn't fair to get a young fellow like this and roast him; my guess is that the interviewer is at least a dozen years older than the lad, and you get a lot more wordly over that time. And second-guessing the actions of a boy in / after a fire-fight is plain daft, it simply doesn't take into account the fear, panic and speed of things.

Bloody hell! I regard myself as not thick, yet I wince when I consider how unworldly I was at this young fellow's age - but, of course, you don't know how little you know at the time. :( :) :ROFLMAO:

They can't just go home can they, wouldn't surprise me if most of them like him don't know why they are there and don't want to be there,
feel sorry for them.
No excuse for rape and murder at all but he said one of them refused to murder and got a grenade at his feet for his trouble.

His mother says no more contracts & he replies yes mother no more contracts, doesn't sound like a conscript to me.
