Looking at putting a hot tub into a holiday cottage, has anyone any ideas of the weekly maintenance between guests ? full water refill ? or will the chemicals keep it right ? any advice would be great thanks

Complete water change between each guests, + at least once per day chl and pH test and records kept, check insurance covers you for a tub + appropriate signage.

Go with the commercial grade tubs, built in dispenser, controls are hidden and they have a fast empty facility as well as continuous rated pumps and larger heaters. A 13amp domestic thing wont cut the mustard.
Do not put your waste tub water into your septic tank !!!!

If you got FREE electric to heat it.
You got to be spot on with chemicals or they be after you faster than they react with a rash ???

But I'm a tight ass and didnt want to spend the money so we decided against it completely in the end!

The thing with hot tubs is you do them 100% properly, or not at all.

I didn't fancy putting them in. Weekly drain off and heat up - what would be the cost of that let alone the time once a week?

We are draining and refilling 3x a week for 3 tubs, and daily checks - its a good way to meet your guests.

What does one cost you per week, labour and electricity?
Not sure how hot they were keeping it, but customer turned hers off after leccy price rise, was costing £5/day just in leccy
