4WD tractor with loader - 60-80hp - top half of the country - CHEAP please

Initially will be shifting stuff about and using a back actor with a bit of light mowing, topping, baleing in the future.
Will consider anything and I know it wont be the prettiest with my budget but would be nice if it has glass and not to much rust. Looked at JD 2140, case 785/885, marshal 704, ford 6610, I seem to be in competition with collectors.
Will need to factor in haulage to Aberdeen docks where it will catch a boat to Orkney (I can arrange haulage)
Budget is tight the closer I can keep this to 5K the happier she'll be!

Longshot I know but not having alot of luck locally, so just thought I'd see if it prompts anyone.

Matt

If the budget is so tight would it not be easier to ask a local farmer to help you out?
I know it's nice to be able to do stuff yourself but it gets to a point where it's just not sensible.
I'd say save your pennies a couple years and buy once you've got maybe 15k
Or do what all farmers do and take a loan out 😉

The locals are great helping out loads, fields are theirs for the year but we have alot of building work to get done with lots of access issues, In a small island community I dont wanna be that newcomer asking for help every 5 minutes plus they have a fair bit of there own work.

If the budget has to stretch it has to stretch but reckon I can do it closer to 10 than 15 (I really wish I could do 15) How happy do I need to keep her anyway?
We have an overall budget to set ourselves up here renovation/holiday let/farm.
I cant wait a couple of years everything will cost twice as much! and our money may well of run out, No income at the moment so no loan option and most importantly I really want a tractor.

Lifting, shifting and back actor might be achievable with budget if you go for an old 2CX or similar and accept you’ll need something else for towing/ PTO work later. Not knowing your priorities but that might be an option.

How firm is your need for 4WD as it might limit your choices quite a bit. I’ll bang the drum for a David Brown 90 series, my 1390 would be ideal for what you want ( but it’s not for sale😀). Added bonus is that as a Yorkshire made tractor you’ll probably find a few more “up North”. Join one of the FB David Brown Forums with your requirements and see if anyone has anything suitable - usual precautions apply.

Thanks for the messages guys.
So I have just bought a 1985 Case international 1494 with loader from a dealer down south  Not far from where we moved from!

A lick of paint and maybe some new tyres in the near future but everything works on it and it has all the glass! the seat sold it.
Now to wait for a part load coming up but the dealer seemed very helpfull and friendly so fingers crossed. Even the missus is happy!
My (our) first tractor.

Was tempted with this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185468374020 but was to nervous about being scammed. Bought one now so really should stop looking.

Second one is tidy for Manchester and has scam written all over it

Will you be going far on the road with the Case? Is it a Hydrashift?

Speak to McAdie and Reeve in Kirkwall - they are always up and down and might be able to fit in on a load.

Im glad you thought it looked dodgy to.
Not alot of road work if any we are ring fenced and no vosa or traffic officers on the island. I will have to pick it up from one ferry and drive a mile or 2 to another ferry, will be my first drive of a tractor!
Im afraid I dont know if its hydrashift or not, im gonna assume not cause it doesn't say.
