And you believe the media? Individually people may cut back a little but they still have to eat. Its interesting they are "apparently" cutting back on good before getting rid of their nobiles or other luxuries. But look at the bigger picture...... in 1979 the world population was 4.3bn, now its 8.5bn, almost doubled in 40 years. Do you honestly believe people will stop eating enough to cause "demand destruction"? I think not. What the media is twisting in their story is most likely people are cutting back on prepared food, and simply removing the word prepared!

Exactly right.

The media need to make a story so usually find the extremes that don’t reflect society as a whole, but then use the headline that makes it sound like it applies to everyone.

They probably ask loaded questions like “are you cutting back on food?” “Are you skipping meals?”
The people they speak to want more handouts rather than taking responsibility so they are happy to answer to as a victim and say yes.

I read they had and having great crops and settled weather to push on, america the same. Russia reckons to have a 1m tons extra and wheat looks likely to drop again, next stop 270
They will need to buy some considerable cheaper than £270 to offset the £340 September bought stuff before the cake price will drop.

Even the BBC are reporting that Russia is buying /begging Ukrainian grain and shipping it through crimea,so perhaps there may not be so much wheat left in the Ukraine as we have been led to believe??
Useless said on the bbc this morning that 25 million tonnes are trapped in Ukrainian ports. Also said British army would help out with rail logistics. Too get in out! When questioned. What troops on the ground? He said no. WTAF is he about then.

British troops have been on the ground unofficially in Ukraine long before this started & are still there.
