Has anyone had problems with net wrap application
Yep!!!!!!!!!!! Mine just being traded in, but the net system on it could drive you to drink!!! Had to run it with good net only (expensive stuff) otherwise you would spend more time off the seat than on, I like the baler but the net system is rubbish, 12+ years ago I ran NH balers, net system didn't miss a beat

Need to keep the net system clean. On a baler of that age you have a canvas skirt that feeds the net into the belts, needs to be emptied of trash every so often and also cleaned pre winter to keep it in good order.
rubber roller on the top may need a bit of talc on it if it is damp and sticky, esp if working in damp or drizzle.

As above, talcum powder on the roller if it keeps wrapping. I run the net brake with only one spring on, otherwise a full roll generally refuses to start turning, the downside is that when the roll gets down to the last few bales you have to remember to drop the engine revs each time the net engages otherwise it will yank the roll out of the tray and drop it on the floor.

Also, they hate a strong crosswind, the net blows to one end of the feed rollers and catches on things.

All in all, the net system is not the greatest piece of agricultural engineering design ever seen! The baler otherwise has been pretty reliable though.

When the roll is getting to the end, lower the revs everytime you wrap a bale, that way it doesn't throw the roll out of the front, you can empty the roll this way, leave it at working revs and it will chuck the roll out on the last 10-15 bales.

all about fine tuning the spring tension and making sure the trough is clean and not rusty. many I have set up never need Any adjustment but it is a case of spending the time fine tuning.

Had a 2008 one for a couple of years, probably done 5000 bales with it. It replaced a NH 658. Not really had any problems with it, it can be a bit temperamental on the first few bales of the year but once everything is shined up it’s a lot faster than the old NH. It feels a bit more ’delicate’ than the more ‘blacksmith’ 658. Put different sorts of net through it without any problems.

Would probably bought a NH BR if I could have found one, but the Claas came up instead

messed around with springs plenty, the lowing of the revs works best, for me anyway.

A friend of mine had one and had awful trouble with the netting system, drove them mad, rubber roller would get tacky after ten or so bales, and it would just wrap around it, went threw tubs and tubs of talc Tried adjusting to tensions, all to no avail.

Lad was threatening to set fire to it one evening, so went to have a look, I noticed the rubber roller didn't turn freely like the one on my 46 did, after some dismantling it turns out they have a scraper on the underside of the rubber roller, I figured the friction between the roller and scraper was causing the rubber roller to heat and expand, in doing so it got tighter, hotter and tackier, causing the wrapping/not pulling in.

Slackened the scraper right off and it never gave trouble again.

We bought a claas variant 360 brand new in 2016 and have had problems with the net wrap. Dry bales it would never miss a beat but as soon as we would touch wet hay with it we would have to run expensive bet wrap, and even then it would miss a bale here and there otherwise a great machine
