Derrick the 70% is in the seed mix, I was quoting the requirements for a pp to be designated an improved pp prior to adding the SAM3 mix.
Yes it can be a rotated action but not many people will want to be renewing the area every year, mind you good for seed sales!!
Just watching the guidance on "improved grassland" change as the SFI scheme emerges, originally it said greater than 30% PRG now it says a high proportion of PRG and clovers-who knows what that means in % terms, probably more than 50% ???
I am sure you will be fine if you can show how the PP has...
The HEFER issue is coming up on a lot of farms - you can get this amended with a Natural England consent form, have seen similar where 5 parcels were locked out of SAM 3 but with a consent form and a chat with the relevant heritage department in the council the maps were redrawn, just depends...
My view is that the seed mix is not fixed- the payment is to achieve the action which is to provide varied root structures, how the farmer achieves that is up to him. Farmers need to be careful with using Sam 3 on old permanent pastures, it is only allowed on improved grassland (as well as TG01...
Have done an annual declaration for a 2022 SFI agreement (even though these are now terminated) basically it was (in this case) a tick box to say you had complied with the agreement. In this case it had but there was a text box to complete if you had ticked no, presumably to tell the RPA what...
E mail [email protected] the CEO who has a dedicated complaints team, they have sorted a couple of issues for me that the normal channels went round in circles.
My wife's Corsa e bought 6 months ago when 3 year old has averaged 3.4 miles per KW over 3400 miles between July and now. On an Octopus Intelligent tariff 7.5p/kw that's 2.2p/mile (no charging away from home).
On long journeys we take a Seat Ibiza diesel, only because its cheaper on fuel than...
Sat in on a Zoom meeting yesterday on BNG and learnt a lot. The value of a BNG credit varies depending the base line diversity of the land being used and the value of the diversity at the end of the 30 year contract. The contract is not with the developer but with the local planning authority...
Awards for All is just one application, recently did one for the local allotment society. Almost certain to get funding from that strand of lottery. They did take the full 16 weeks to confirm the money. Be strong on the wider community benefits, educational etc.
The only bit you have got wrong is the total weight of grasses, minimum 2, is 70% of the mix. The PRG will need to be bit less than 70%.
Given you could DD into an existing sward it's all a bit subjective though😏.
