    Claas Ares 577 front axle

Has anyone got any suggestions for a breaker where I could get a front axle for a 2005 Claas Ares 577. It's the Carraro axle with suspension. The two bolts came out of the back pivot and the shaft going into the axle is pretty chewed up on the one that was on it.

    Bombproof round baler

We done this back in 2006 with much the same thinking as you, doing a similar amount of bales too. Brand new JD 578 arrived replacing a JD580 belt baler. Unfortunately it didn't go to plan as this season we had a major breakdown that cost about 2k in parts. Put it all back together for it to do...

    Finding Alkathene water pipe

Exactly this. We bought 50m of 10mm earth cable from screwfix for about £40. Inserted up a 25mm mdpe water pipe and connected genny to it. Traced with the cat perfect. Just dig a hole every 50m and re insert cable and trace again.

Do any of you eat goat meat?

I'm pretty sure most of the lamb I ate on a sailing holiday around the Greek islands was in fact goat. I asked a waiter in a restaurant where he gets his lamb from and he pointed up at a hill that all I could see on was black goats. Whatever it was it was some of the tastiest meat I have ever had.

    Mchale F550

Thanks for the replies, I took it yesterday after sorting the free flow out to the tractor. Baled perfect only thing I can't understand now is the oil can on the control box has an arrow flashing by it and it beeps. There is oil in the reservoir and the chains are all getting oil so has anyone...

Yes it has a braked axle, but it has the proper brake pipe and coupler for.that. I think it must be as suggested a return to the tank as when you shut the door the two pressure gauges go up but if you move the lever controlling the spool that the single pipe is connected to the pressure drops on...

Thanks for that, does that mean I just plug it into a spool on the return side and push the lever forward into float then?

Just had a new to us F550, and didn't come with the operators manual but the dealer is sorting one out for us. I Need to use the baler pretty handy though so just wondering on a couple of things. Firstly it's got 5 pipes, two sets for the double acting on the back door and pick up reel, what is...

    Claas tractors

To be fair to them they did with us. We bought a second hand low houred Ares 577 back in 2013 and after 5 months the gearbox had a major breakdown, Parts were just short of £3500, Labour was £1500. Claas paid the parts and we paid the labour. Since then it’s had the head gasket done and a...

    Toyota Hilux

Same truck as yours but a 12 plate. Just worked the MPG out from fill to fill and it’s done 23.8 on a mix of driving but no towing. Last time I brought a bull down from Scotland with a 12ft trailer it done a mind blowing 15.2! I’ve been looking at chipping it for economy but have been told it’s...

    BT Scam

‘Janet’ was very persistent with me and I can easily see how someone could easily be tricked into believing everything she said. I hope it all works out for you and you get refunded the money they managed to scam off you. How people like that can sleep at night is beyond me knowing they have...

    BT Scam

Just had an Asian sounding lady called Janet  call the landline to tell me my IP address had been compromised. Interesting conversation Janet : Your IP address has been compromised and you need to turn on your computer for me to fix it. Me : I haven’t got one Janet : Turn on your...

    Stirling Bull Sales

That’s why I said there is a risk though. There is no rule saying once it’s been pre movement tested it has to stay in isolation. Cattle could easily go out grazing for nigh on two months after a test before entering a market. Just because they have tested clear doesn’t mean they are when they...
