You could say exactly the same thing about globalism and things like the EU…

    Spring beans or spring oats

It just seems to hit and miss for me. If you do it on a contract with premium crops then it’s even more expensive.

    Spring beans or spring oats

It did about .6/acre. It set our combine on fire so a neighbour ended up doing it with a straw walker. Blackgrass control was poor. Won’t be growing it again I would rather do stewardship however a mix of osr, oats and beans are enough for our break crops.

    Spring beans or spring oats

Yes they are hit and miss. I prefer peas and linseed in cover crops. We grew winter linseed this year which was hideous.

Who else woke up to find their SFP in their account?

Well said. If anyone is profiteering off subs it’s the wider agricultural industry, basically anyone we buy stuff from, not who we sell too.

    Spring beans or spring oats

We grow rape and beans too. On heavy land we can grow long runs of cereals though and they are always more reliable than beans, osr and make the other crap like linseed or peas look completely pointless (I’ve tried)

    Dispatches - Red Tractor

Farmers arguing about the size of farm being an issue is ridiculous. There is god awful small livestock farms in the same way there is terribly run large farms and vice versa in all businesses and sectors.

    Dispatches - Red Tractor

It does seem pretty ludicrous that we are all paying the price for stuff going on in certain areas

    Spring beans or spring oats

Yeh got enough although I may split the area half and half. I ideally want a break crop which oats are.
