new piece welded in. Not perfect but glass fits so happy with that. Body filler will sort the rest. Hardest bit to do yet. Plate was curving in two planes. Took a couple of attempts to get the creases out. Had to cut it into three sections to get it bent round neatly
do the nissan cabstars share the same corrosion problems as the navara and other makes of pickup, is it the same chassis as the navara or is this a completly different machine, engine under cab must be awkard for servicing etc. do the cabs tilt?
It looks like the cheapest/handiest option but can't go offroad. Running a Navara just now probably keep it for another year. If the chassis holds out! Maybe the cost of cars will have come down by then
Have licence for artics so ok on that side. It's just the cost of the pickups and how long they last before chassis is knackered or engine gives bother made me think about this currently running a d40 navara. Will a 7.5 toner be a lot harder on fuel than a pickup I would imagine that they will...
Looking at price of used 4x4 pickups seem to be getting expensive. For what you pay they don't seem to last. Rust or engine issue. Does anyone use 7.5 ton lorries instead of 4x4s for general farm work. They seem to be a lot cheaper. Maybe better for towing also
found the bolts at the front . Came off no problems then. Painting the cab after welding is done. Top of cab at the back needs a patch so thought it would be easier taking the roof off. Might not be so easy putting it back together 😬
anyone have any tips on taking the roof of an xl cab, got the screws at the back out looks like it is still secured at the front but cant see anything, does the heater box have to be lowered to get to a hidden bolt?
Yes far too much seed is going through the drill machine. Once I get my tractor sorted it's next on the list. I have learned a bit with all the mistakes i am doing but I like a challenge 😂 I have a book sprayer for quad bike don't have a tractor mounted one. Like I said its the old fashioned way...
