I had a quick demo of a 600 I think it was, not the 1000 anyway. Nice and comfortable and well finished in the cab. Plenty of poke in it and not much bigger in size than a quad. Not done anything about it since unsure if to look for a used diesel utv or new petrol
It’s very wet I struggled to walk the field, the rolling more to do with stones, combine guy wouldn’t thank me for football sized rocks going through his machine
Not sure about the grass. I ploughed it and really struggled to bury all the trash, and it was too wet to go with pre em. I’m a livestock farmer so not much of an idea about arable. I’ll go in with N soon as it dries up, and give it a roll. Not too fussed if it’s bit dirty it’s all for home use...
what would people do with this sorry looking WB? Obviously needs rolling. Do I spend ££ on it when it dries up or spray it off and put SB in? Some really rough bits in it with deep tractor wheelings.
Around 800 in all, yes they come in around 6 weeks pre lambing.
Most around here will lamb inside unless they’re Welsh mountain ewes. Main reasons are weather, easier management during lambing (texel x ewes so need to keep an eye on them) and predation. Lambing outside is great if the weather...
