The timing of your contribution is quite critical , strangely enough .I found out from someone who worked on these models in the past just yesterday and he confirmed what you have said about the signal from the alternator. Good job as one mech thought it was from a sensor on top cover...
Phoned local dealer in order to estabish the location of the tacho sensor and didnt know , really..... I have to know as its such a waste of time , so eliminating the sensor , I dont know..
OK the sensor reads 0.500 Ohms so I am not sure what the true resistance value should be. Its very difficult to reach (as I said Loader frame blocking access) and push the connector back in. However it didnt alter the fact that the Tacho is still dead .
Find the cheapest alternative I say.
Ok sensor reads 0,500 ohms . Has a small resistance but maybe not enough. Very difficult to get to for loader frame in the way. If its faulty then its not cheap!
A job finding the plug , sensor. seems fixed to the cable as it was twisting while unscrewing and couldnt see it's joint or connector beneath the cab , looks like.
This not the same as I bought and no longer available but pretty much similsr.
heavy duty refrigeration manifold
I will try and find the adapter that fits the Halfords canister , which incedently has a refund of £10 0n return for replacement . One for a tractor is more than enough.
Tacho sensor , was a tad loose in its mount , as I was unable to view it properly as I have loader frame running past the area, I tightened what seemed like a nut .I checked for running and no luck , I then screwed the body in as the sensor has a magnectic pick up , to faintly feel a running...
OH MY!
Now I need a RADIATOR, Best source please!!
I have used K Seal , seems to have done the trick for now if it lasts to getting Hay in Ill start looking.
Halfords do bottles , I charge up the tractor with them and a Manifild and guages , works well with that , they also do leak sealer , Guages will tell you what pressure is still in the system , once you start topping up the compressor clutch will come in getting the signal from sensor on the...
