@Jdunn55 I know you take some stick on here at times but your passion for your cows is commendable and when you get results like that it's exciting and very satisfying. A thumbs up from me and keep chasing those dreams and who wouldn't want to own a cow like that 👍

Well 3150 is a lot of money for a commercial second calver, but I'd enjoy getting up in the morning to milk one like that. Lovely cow!

We have a suckler cow that's a resolved IR, she can only leave the farm either direct to slaughter or through a TB restricted sale, we currently have a 16 month store heifer due a second test next month if she's resolved I'll send her to a restricted sale but will need a license to move. If she...

I rang them and asked if they were planning on moving to BACS a couple of years ago, said they were looking into it but it was a bit 'complicated'. Heard nothing since.

Beautiful cow, calf with unlimited potential. If you're into pedigrees then there's nothing to touch days like this.

Buy some cheap white vinegar and pour down the back line, was told this by someone certainly helped when I used to switch dairy cows between groups.

I'm seem to recall from my days of reading Holstein World magazine that the Skagvale herd was a hay fed unit ( no silage) obviously high quality alfalfa I presume. I also think they had a pretty good complete dispersal some years ago and some of their embryos were purchased by a few UK breeders...
