    Buy some cheap white vinegar and pour down the back line, was told this by someone certainly helped when I used to switch dairy cows between groups.

    I'm seem to recall from my days of reading Holstein World magazine that the Skagvale herd was a hay fed unit ( no silage) obviously high quality alfalfa I presume. I also think they had a pretty good complete dispersal some years ago and some of their embryos were purchased by a few UK breeders...
