    MAP where to use

Nope. Written and kept on file by a qualified advisor. No need for notification etc.

    MAP where to use

Things to think about - you may have to produce this to the EA as a justification for what you’ve applied. So don’t skimp on detail !

    MAP where to use

Ask your agronomist / FQA to write it. I write them for my clients.

    SSSI Spring Barley herbicides

I’d approach this another way. Ask them what’s ok to use. If they perceive metsulfuron as a hazard, then don’t hold out any hope.

    Poly N Plus

have you costed the outcome ?Or, have you allowed for the value it creates vs the cost ? It doesn’t work anything like “fert” and shouldn’t be compared to it. It’s way more efficient, but needs to be understood.

    MAP where to use

you can deviate from RB209 with an evidenced and written derogation. You need to explain what you are doing and why, and how any impact will be negligible. Handy when needed as not all farms are built the same, and not all crops conform to RB209 guidelines....

Wanting to go no till but sit sure on the way to start

I haven't read any of the responses above. The place to start if you want to go down this route is ask yourself why ? what is it you want to achieve ? When you are clear on this, then, PAY for advice. Dont do a thing until you have got someone on board who can explain what your soils need, what...

    Poly N Plus

Poly N plus - i recommend it on a wide range of crops. Great results in milling wheat, WOSR and Maize. You have to put enough on to get a response, and at the right time. Tank mixes well, and never caused scorch.

    Did you know ?

If Urea is banned, every tonne of urea that is traded will be replaced with 1.3t of Ammonium Nitrate. At the moment there is about 400kt of urea used in the UK. If banned, then the number of CO2 miles to move the additional tonnage of nitrate will defeat the object of improving the greenhouse...

    Options after roundup

As a group who rely on glyphosate to farm effectively - I cant believe the negative position re glyph's future. Its approval can only be revoked after a lengthy process, that is set to start again soon, that is based on evidence The overwhelming evidence is that it is SAFE to us, to the...

    Seedbeds

My DD clients are mostly drilled up now - conventional only really getting started. The big success of the year has been drilling into OSR stubble's with the volunteers in place. They have really made a difference, better travelling, slot closed, and up in the expected time. Cover crops are...

    HS2

The entire project is miss conceived. We are starting with trains - a Victorian invention. The starting point should be a maglev - like the one siemens have built in shanghai. Also there are many things this nation of nations needs before we build a shorter commute to export house price...

    Sulphur

Avoid using elemental sulphur due to the process of it transforming into sulphate. Its highly acidifying so will deplete your Ca levels and carbonate reserves. Use a 3:1 N to S ration in your top dressing as either a liquid Urea AS blend or a compound solid e.g. Singletop. Start getting your...

    Sheep grazing barley

The mildew is not due to it being too far forward. Grazing risks loosing tillers - barley yield comes from tillers. If the sheep graze these off you’ll struggle to replace them. Grazing will introduce an extra physiological challenge in addition to the mildew. Recovery is then an issue. It’s...
