Tb are we(the English) winning the war?

I am not an academic or a scientist but I have been involved in research in other areas of soil health that i paid for out of own pocket , i totally accept and not arguing that about badgers etc , but just saying i believe there is a good argument to say bTB dormancy in soils and triggers...

Tb are we(the English) winning the war?

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5407823/ (2017) just the first paper picked off google ''Our laboratory conditions had probably been far different from field conditions where temperature fluctuations, moisture variations, UV radiation and competition with abundant and diverse...

Tb are we(the English) winning the war?

While badgers are very much involved in the spread of Btb I still find it amazing that soil is not looked at more as a factor too , if the bacterium becomes dormant and enters say a macrophage cell cell it can become virtually undetectable( for possibly decades) to modern testing in...

A question for Ollybloggs Oliver Harrison

I am all right jack ,with nothing to protest about but I can see IMHO the likes of the nfu/red tractor and the supermarkets etc destroying smaller farmers and I would gladly stand by any farmer affected with our tractors to donate muck or slurry to nfu /red tractor /supermarket directors...

    Protests: what do YOU want?

I very much doubt any meaningfull 'protests' will actual happen and the moment is fast slipping away but in saying that IMHO UK farmers should target every single office holders of The NFU Red Tractor AHDB and all directors of the national supermarkets under the banner 'If you dont want us to...

GFC disgrace: Here's what NFU, AHDB and RT have signed us up for

Wasn't suggesting a tie up in any way as agree a slippery slope But any farm insurer could use now as a Great opportunity to start twisting the knife If without agenda it helps the BFU so much the better? ( that's what I would do if I was a rival) Having in the past seen some internal numbers...

GFC disgrace: Here's what NFU, AHDB and RT have signed us up for

In order to help the BFU and fight the NFU Why not ask ag insurers to offer pay the BFU membership for a chance to quote on farm cover and if successful a small % Helps farmers insurers and the BFU ??

    Tractor mounted road grader

When we rip farm tracks we generally then add and mix a good depth of plannings But always use a harley power box rake to mix grade and get ready for the roller Brilliant job and have done miles of tracks with it

GFC disgrace: Here's what NFU, AHDB and RT have signed us up for

TB hit farms should “find other work”

While clearly Joyce Watson hasn't got a clue and of course badgers are significant in BTB transfer it baffles me why soil is not looked at more as a reservoir to propagate /harbour/hide BTb for years or decades until it's triggered to reappear

    Nocturnal visitors 🤬

It's possible , though I know of one farm that has buried a container above ground with a disguised door , you would never know it was there as it blends into a bank but easily accessed . Half the problem is the bigger the padlock , alarms and gates the bigger potential rewards for visitors...
