Unfortunately I haven't used the spirals but I know others that have. In my case the nursery said use for the first few years then remove. I thought that was easier said than done so didn't use. I don't think we've lost many. Can always stick a few in at a later date
Don't currently have anything like this. GEA parlour and nedap collars but would like to link them up, plus BCMS and CIS to save on duplication and my time. There are others in the market but it sounds like Uniform is way ahead of the others
Looking at Uniform to link to parlour and collars. Looks very expensive as add ons are needed to make it all work. What are peoples experiences, as I know that there are other options. Thanks
Green laser pen has been very effective so far, and I have a hawk kite flying too. Thought I'd start with them as I didn't want to spend hundreds on a sonic bird scarer just yet. They are still flying around but far fewer and they aren't dropping in the sheds. So far so good!
Wondered what works best if anything does. Starlings been here about a week, more every day.
Turn up as it's coming light, away by dusk. We feed on the outside of the sheds so they have plenty to eat. They perch on every bar, every gate. The cows are covered.
Been banging the 12 over there...
Anybody with knowledge of the liquid job to know if they have come back in line with the rest? And can still get it on farm? I have to ring them in the morning
I agree. All slurry goes through a separator so I would class it as more like dirty water as parlour washings and some top water goes in. Cover will increase the storage capacity as no additional rainfall will go in, should have a bit more fertiliser value and less smell except when spreading 🤔
Hi looking to put a cover on the outside lagoon as storing rainwater is an expense plus reduces storage capacity quite a bit. Just wondered how long they likely last. Had 3 quotes all different products wondered if all work as well as each other. Thanks
Have had good service from a Tress Nobel blue hose but it's been shortened once and is now blistering. Just wondered what anyone else would recommend.
The yellow Torsino is an absolute no no for me, they don't last 5 minutes on hard concrete.
Thanks
