Food security is a silly argument…

Most of the food coming into the UK is carried in shipping containers Every container terminal in the world depends on computers - many are at least partially remote controlled by computers. All it needs is a good software crash.

Is an All Wheel vehicle suitable to tow a trailer with livestock in it? (Volvo XC90)

The manual for the vehicle will be your first point of reference I would think 16 sheep could be anything from 500 to 1500 Kg so you maybe need to think more in terms of weight

    Say what George

Galloping spunktrumpet is a very apt description imo I watched his performance on Question Time a week or so ago - basically trying to be controversial for the sake of an argument. One thing he does not do is factual accuracy

    I admit, I have a workshop tool addiction :-)

Well it has not really worked for a while - my youngest has been doing a bit of restoration on it but there remains plenty to do. It was fitted with a straight 6 non turbo engine a long time ago - will happily go over a drystone wall without missing a beat.

Building a new farmhouse from the farm workshop. An undertaking I wont do again.

Somehow I cannot see the sitting by the fire lasting all that long. A seriously brave project and looks like the execution fully matches the decision to go ahead yourself. Total respect! That really should have been on Grand Designs or the Farming Life - it would have made a very pleasant...

John Price interview , FarmersWeekly River Lugg video.

Mr Price had his chance to enter any permission to conduct any activity whatever on the river into evidence or his plea in mitigation. There is no evidence of him doing so, nor any mention of such permission in the PC notes published online that I have seen. The facts are that Mr Price was...

The snag with that logic is that the definition of "looked after properly" has moved a little. With apologies for repetition - Mr Price could have done all the good he possibly did with a minor fraction of the damage he caused. The Electric Brae (there is more than one) is at the end of the day...

No Sh!t Sherlock Nobody is talking about blocking the river - we have a video of the river going like a train under the bridge - after reportedly falling after flooding some houses - so there is an argument for opening up the choke point that caused that flooding in the houses. However Mr...

Indeed he does - but I suspect gravity and physics work the same way in Herefordshire as they do in the rest of the world.
