I use a Bo Steel gate. Never have a problem dropping the pin into the floor. Hole is easy to clean out if necessary. Also got an O’Donnell gate which pins into the floor.

Had a Major develop a gearbox problem. Grinding and lumpy movement. Took the drive pulley off side of gearbox. Could see brass bush had slipped out of centre of gear. Managed to push it back in with lever from the outside. Refitted pulley and filled gearbox up to full level. Worked fine...
I’ve got Bo Steel and O’Donnell calving gates both very good. Imported from Ireland within a week (pre Brexit). Think a chap called Tim Gibson imports Bo Steel ones. May have them in stock. I set the two gates up to give 4 calving pens.

I’ve got a 2004 diesel Range Rover. £395 Road tax, £377 insurance including road rescue (never used it). Pulls cattle box with ease. Never let me down. Hardly any depreciation. New suspension air compressor and rear brake calliper so far, less than £400 spent. Great vehicle to drive anywhere.
Don’t know if it’s due to the lack of OSR being grown this year, but the pigeons are hammering my Lucerne. Also my new herbal leys are getting a lot of pigeons on.
