What’s even more puzzling about the LinkedIn post is that he says he is visiting USDA to talk about market access for our meat and dairy. But all trade arrangements in USA are dealt with by the State department (equivalent to our FCO but a million times more powerful). So, yet more questions…..

as a farmer I will keep saying this - food is too cheap and if food was of a value that reflected the investment skill and risk that was involved in growing it we would need no subsidies

As a UK farmer who can't use CTL, Neonics or GM tech and must have farm level assurance we can't compete with imports grown to lower than UK legal...
we wouldn't need subs if all imports to the UK had to meet our legal standards re product use and welfare

uk will take your neonic treated osr or crl treated wheat no questions asked

yes - we are lucky to have well established winter wheat and barley here . - it’s had all inputs at the right timing m, barley had had all its N now and wheat has had 80% of its total yet it’s not really got moving at all yet
