I have some first year grass/some clover ley on extremely dry land. The plan was to turn some young stock on to graze it but i feel there is too much there, so i have decided to cut it for silage. Whats the best additive to use?
This is my third heifer this year with this problem. The vets have never seen anything like it. Mostly occurs on one side of the face, swelling and possibly blindness. The white skin on nose and face comes off. The heifers were in different goups but adjacent fields. Any ideas?
Not sure if im allowed to post this but my current stock bull has decided to have a rest. Therefore im looking for a service age red and white holstein bull. Any thing out there?
I tried using straw through a west small bale chopper in my cubicles last year but it wouldnt go through the slats. Would milled straw be any better? Are there any other options?
