Cows stayed out here last night, mowed 17 acres that was too big for grazing this morning and 12 acres that’ll set my rotation up for the zero grazer. Don’t see main crop of 1st cut until the week beginning the 6th I’d say

That’s shocking sell all ours Angus calf’s out of the yard at a month old could sell double the calf’s we have demand is such for them

An inch of rain here in the last 24 hours 🙄 cows stayed in today 1st time in 2 weeks although there only was 45 of them outside getting a 2 acre paddock a day

We’ve 2 long runs of yokes and the rest of the shed is just a rail they definitely eat more in the straight rail but don’t think it should be an issue

Aye see the BBC giving it good from next Friday but it’s always too far way yet to think it’ll happen 🙈

There was some slurry spread locally during the week before Easter it was very wet here that week that’s as much as I know about it

Yeah I’d say that we are in the fortunate position of having plenty selling some to a neighbour as the face as slid to get it tidied up again quickly

Were the same here 8 years now and never had any trouble there’s been a few years we haven’t spread maybe after 1st or 2nd cut as it’s been too dry but that’s not very often

Don’t think that was the whole story all the same think it was some badly mown grass at 1st cut was also at play, we’ve no issue with the dribble bar but we do water it down for after 1st cut but it’s easy done as the store that collect water is beside he slurry store
