@farmer phil id be very tempeted to give the guys at Horsch a call, I’m sure they would be more than happy to come and see you, give you the best advice on using what you have in front of you.

You really ought to be able to get the fan down to about 2000rpm, that’s all you’d want if drilling rape or something else small and light.

As you’ve started speaking to them I’d give them a call back and explain what you’ve done and not found, perhaps they can give you some more pointers or things to try

Personally I’d have a word with the guys at Horsch, normally very helpful and will sort you out over the phone. Could be something simple being over looked.
