Has anybody come up with a clever way of making the lead up ramp wider? Struggling to get some of the ewes to fit up for tailing and vaccinating.

We used to vaccinate lambs as we turned them out and lots of ewes getting it on their teats. Now we vaccinate at first Ovivac and have hardly any problems with teats.

I’m pretty sure ours came with spare mixing bowl and sensor. So just swap around and clean in between. We’ve had ours for 10 years and only had to replace a relay?? But diagnosed over the phone and collected the new on Sunday morning.

Yeah this works really well but not on a large scale.

If it works for you and your happy that’s the main thing.

I guess it all depends on scale, but for me I’m thinking that’s trying to spread out feed of one bag of cake to 250 ewes. I’d probably feed blocks for a couple weeks then go in with 0.3kg providing they know what cake is.

But is it worth feeding such a small quantity. Less than 1.5 mj/day??

How the hell do you feed 100g a head? Must be carnage trying to feed them.

If all you’re doing is drenching a flat rate then probably will be quicker just in a race. But if you’re drenching for the individual’s weight, recording dlwg or dagging anything dirty that’s where the benefits are. But the key with flow is having the next one waiting on the ramp ready to come in.
