That’s the first time I’ve heard of that, I moved from buckets to drench about 4 years ago and have never done them twice.

We’ve used both shearwell and some others from a bloke on Facebook, pretty unimpressed by both. Loads of them are off within hours.

Macs on every lamb so far this year, shearwell and some off bloke who recons his are better, i think the worse the weather is the more have come off too soon because the ewe is constantly pawing them to get up. Very frustrating but you have to try.

Out of 1200 with 300 of those being the hoggs not tupped the previous year have between 30 and 40 geld at scanning year on year. Probably a fair percentage of them are the hoggs but it’s not a huge issue.

We for years had a lot of empty hoggs, all vaccinated for enzo/toxo tried pencils at tupping and weighing and only tupping the largest. The ewe scanning was always okay. Eventually solved the problem, stopped putting the tups in, not a worry now.😉

I think the opposite, adding calcium will make it worse, too much calcium in the diet makes the ewe lazy in mobilising her own reserves. We had cows low in calcium and the vet said add magnesium to raise calcium 🤔 I’m sure something about it all by Global ovine explained it in detail

I want better weather, and spelling on social media needs improved.

Accurate enough, also if on the way to tesco if they are held up by a tractor the support will quickly lessen. By the way I’m not saying that something shouldn’t be done,it’s just very easy to alienate the people that you need help from.

I don’t have any sympathy with anyone that strikes nurses ,doctors ,train drivers, any of them lose my support once they inconvenience the people that pay their wages ie me. Best way of loosing any support is turning up in your new massive tractor and plead poverty. As Jonny Lydon said on the...

Just received an email from herdwatch saying they are about to take an auto renewal payment, what happens if I don’t pay. Will my farmplan still operate as is or will I lose functions, Bcms movement, birth registration etc.

Does it matter to us if it’s profit or margin, they are a great family that are enjoying what they are doing. Pretty lucky in my opinion.

I think there are 2 schools of thought with the pathetic offerings. If we don’t apply the powers that be will think we don’t need support, or on our side of the fence it won’t touch the sides and isn’t enough. I’ve a feeling the former will be gone for and future money will go towards NHS train...

I think the time has passed for comeback. Bit disappointing though, as a seller of stores I would have kept it and fattened it myself. But probably a genuine sale.
