    Tools

I use mainly Beta and Bacho, it's mid price range stuff and last for years! The main thing with having tools that last for years is get a decent tool box and organise it so that you know when things are missing, i bet 90% of tools get lost rather than broken! I have bought Nielsen stuff but it's...

    Take and no give

Surely it's actually nothing to do with you! You have instructed or have a contract with the builder for a completed house, how he gets it to that stage is down to him unless you have a project manager. If the soil had been removed by lorry and gone then new stone delivered by an unknown...

    9” grinder

9" is fine, like you mentioned soft starts are great my Milwaukee has it and means it doesn't try and twist out of your hands on start up. I use either Tryolit or Sait 2mm cutting discs they seem last well, I've never had one explode on me they generally break the center out if you working...

    Laverda combine history

We used to run a Laverda M152, which changed to a Claas dom 96 which lasted 2 seasons before getting shipped out for a Laverda 3890 c/w 20ft header. I was at a machinery show 5/6yrs ago looking at a Massey Beta(?) Combine and upon lifting the side panels and looking at the walkers found it to be...

33ft tri axle bale trailer running on air brakes and air suspension, it has a 3ft fold up back section so can run at 30ft when unloaded or not required. Trailer runs nice and low at 1m, it had 6 new tyres last summer and the other 6 have loads of life. Really strong trailer c/w nice solid floor...

    Cut off saws

Pedrazolli cold saws are the king of them but all the ones I've used have been decent. Ideally you want one with twin vice clamps so they clamp both sides of the cut. Mine is only a 250mm blade but cuts 60mm box at 90° and 50mm box at 45°, it makes making gates and cutting smaller steel a breeze...

    Fliegl Buffel

Do you not think it looks like a nice simple light weight idea, which i would imagine could be affordable for those who run trailed choppers or small old self propelled choppers, it maybe could even be used to zero graze and feed direct to bunkers? It's also making use of available hp as it...

Machinery, uk made, foreign made or price?

1st Quality, 2nd Price, 3rd how easy is to fix. There is just as much crap machinery made in this country as any other so it doesn't bother me where it's made, although any American built machinery I've had or worked on tends to be built very heavy and as simple as possible.
