1st time CSS application - status = active

Just logged onto my online application and it has finally been updated, and showing status as active. Does this mean it has been awarded or is there a stage after this?

    Coldstore rough cost?

Looking to store crates of plants stacked on pallets. Will be precooled before going in but will need to be frozen down to -1.5 within a week of storage. Planning on there being plenty of space between pallets. Great shout on the electric. Site hasn't been connected yet so I have a chance to...

    Coldstore rough cost?

Was looking at 60x40, just after a rough cost if you're happy to share? As I understand I can offset 100% of cost against profit vs just 3% for a standard shed

    Coldstore rough cost?

Does anybody have any recent examples for the cost of a small to modest sized coldstore?

Do I need PP to site caravan next to shed whilst it's built?

Thanks for replying all. I've recently taken over running the family farm (alongside my day to day job) but unfortunately the house and buildings were sold off over 10 years ago. It's been a bit of a slog but I've just managed to get planning for a general purpose shed so I can at least store...

Do I need PP to site caravan next to shed whilst it's built?

Back at the start of the year I have been given the go ahead to put up a 60x40 general purpose shed on a green field site on my farm. I used the prior notification procedure for this. I have been given 5 years to finish the project. Am I able to live in a caravan on site whilst the work is...

Converting pasture to orchard: advice for newbie

Thanks, I found a map from the 1880's which show an orchard (cider apples I expect) in the same field so I'm hoping that with a bit of work I can get the ground back up to standard. I've got plenty of experience working with hydroponic strawberries but realise I have no clue with working on the soil

Converting pasture to orchard: advice for newbie

Thanks Kidd's, do I need to flat lift and rotavate the ground? Which bit of kit would be used to form the berms? Apologies for the simple questions?

Converting pasture to orchard: advice for newbie

I live in an area primarily concerned with livestock farming, however I'm keen to convert a 4 acre patch of pasture into orchard. Can someone give me a rough idea of the tasks I need to organise and roughly the time of year to do them? I'm planning on planting the trees on berms (raised ridges)...

Rights of farmers where no tenancy agreement or grazing agreement was in place

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply. It's a very complicated situation. The house and ground borders my farmland (no longer have a house on site as it was sold off years ago) so I'm pretty keen on buying the property so I can be close to the family farm. The elderly owner is not well...

Rights of farmers where no tenancy agreement or grazing agreement was in place

I am in the process of buying land where there has been a long-term grazer, but never a formal agreement. I also believe that no money was transferred but the grazer did odd and I frequent jobs. I would like to shift the chap on, does anyone have experience of dealing with this type of situation?
