Not rubbish at all, completely factual! They are the long term averages recorded over many years. Tractor hours recorded on work plans when entering field and leaving, factoring in all in field inefficiencies. How do you calculate your work rate?

Bigger is not better, 9 furrow plough on 450hp averages 1.3ha/hr compared to 6 furrow on 185hp achieving 1ha/hr. 6 furrow on less hp much cheaper per ha.

We meticulously record tractor hours for every fieldwork operation from start to finish. I have calculated that when drilling, our non fieldwork hours (moving between farms/fields etc) is 17%.
