I have a r740i. The best thing about it is the power spray plumbing system. Fills quickly and very simple to use. Previously had a 732 and that i always felt lacked really good agitation, eg using granules they would often not dissolve fully and be found as a sludge in strainer basket or...
Thanks for your replies everyone.
I do think pin and cone is too short compared with some others to cope with the strain, though I do see that using a big pusher is a big ask for a 4-4.5 t machine. Some manufacturers certainly beef them up more than original design.
If I stick with JCB I would...
I’m considering changing forklift in the near future and was wondering what people would consider to be the strongest headstock.
Im currently on pin and cone but had a problem last year where the headstock broke at the welds using a 5m grain pusher. This is on a 540 70 jcb. Brother used the...
Bought one on Black Friday and used it for the first time the other day. Combine battery dead as a do-do, no lights on dashboard and it started on first turnover. Impressed! They seem to work well. Hopefully last a good number of years too.
Ordered ours with one and find it a big help to hitch on and off. Easy to move round shed when someone has left it in the way of something else. Glad we’ve got it, a lot easier than using stack of pallets.
Replaced the injectors on ours a year ago. Constant running rough and power derating even in light work before it was done. Really notice a difference in performance and glad we got it done. Hope to keep it for a while too. Expensive repair, but if it needs done it needs done in my opinion.
We have two jcbs on pin and cone. One is standard and the other is deep. Definitely slightly trickier getting some implements off the deeper one. Not difficult by any means, just need to be aware of it otherwise you can bend holes where cone goes on implement.
This is exactly what’s happening with several of my neighbours. Some make gateways into fields to exercise their dogs, not too much harm in being a decent neighbour I thought. Then a couple of years later they all have garden rubbish, soil tipped and wood burners sitting on the field margins...
