Is there an easy way to drop the fuel tank off an MF4225?

I had the tank off my one recently too. I took it off as the tractor was been split for a new damper plate. I had to remove the loader brackets also. It didn't take me much along with a hour to do. I had good sockets and an impact wrench to help.

    Spring Whole crop mix

I have similar crops of spring barley for wholecroping. I also grew winter barley and maize which preformed far better. The spring barley didnt preform well due to the wet spring followed by a drought. I grew oats and peas a few years ago. The only weed spray I could use without killing the...

    Ten Years of TFF

Happy birthday Tff 👍. It's hard to believe that it's nearly ten years since I first joined up in October 2013. Its a great source of information and a good social outlet for farmers. I have a learnt a lot from reading threads and it have helped improve the way I farm. A big word of thanks to...

Longest haul with grain trailer, field to store

Each load was 25 miles each way so 50 round trip. There is a man driving the loader there all day so when he was doing that I was having my dinner or tea. It was straightforward enough at the other end just weigh in and out and tip without delay. We are drawing with tandem axle traliers on ball...

Longest haul with grain trailer, field to store

The tillage farmer I do work for sells his grain to a mill 25 miles away. Loading and drawing out the yard. A long day to load and draw 6 loads or around 120 tons. The malting barley goes to a mill around 15 miles away. Its slower than the feed as a longer wait to tip due to testing.

I had the same problem in a field after grass too. The only solution that I know of is to go out with the flat roller and roll it at night before the dawn breaks. They will be out eating the crop before daylight. The top dressing of nitrogen will give it a good drive on. Have you anyone walking...

    Forage wagon road distance

I help a friend of mine out with a 5 mile draw with my wagon. He has two wagons drawing too. He has ground around the yard too so when we come back from the long draw we bring in a load back from the near field and that keeps the loader man busy all day and not under pressure. Its not heavy...

    Wholecrop choices.

I have been doing the same as the op these past three years now. I was relying too much on growing a good crop of second cut silage to keep feed reserves up and I have land away from the farm thats a bit far for silage and it wasnt fenced for cattle at the time. My first crop in 2020 was oats...

    Quitting smoking

I smoked since the age of 15. I was coming up to my 30th birthday in 2018 and by the autumn of 2017 I had my mind made up. By this time I was smoking 30 a day and I had spent nearly half of my life smoking. I went in to the doctor and got him to prescibe the strongest nictotine patchs available...
