Guidance for a guidance ready MF 7720

I’ve decided to finally bite the bullet and put guidance on my 2019 7720 which I bought as guidance ready and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good systems or any to avoid, looking for something good enough for spraying so fairly accurate and a bit of drilling in the autumn...

    Algae in water troughs

We’ve got about 30 water troughs on the mains supply on a couple blocks of ground we own and some we rent, and always have algae in the, some worse than others, and after putting in a brand new trough get algae within a month, wondering if fish would be a potential solution or if anyone has has...

    Wi-Fi bridge v Ethernet

Currently have Wi-Fi in the house off a landline which is slow as a funeral, and have Wi-Fi in the office running from a 4g router which is great, reliable and quick, been doing some thinking and if I could find a way to have the house Wi-Fi running off the office box would be ideal. The...

    jd 228a mower & t7 210

I run a 2.8 front mower and it’s fine once you get used to it, a 3.2 is much better in the fields but no good if you tear it to pieces on the road. Just have to drive straight and lift up and reverse at corners

    Venturi primers

I’ve seen a bit of advertisement for these and was wondering if someone could enlighten me on how the whole system works and if it is an improvement over the small hydraulic driven vacuum pump on my soda l35. I’m mainly curious what people use to generate the vacuum in the first place. Thanks Frank

Dribble bars. Is 7.5 wide enough?

I find that in fields that have been cut recently its almost impossible to see the lines at times with a trailing shoe but with slightly loneger grass or in fields that have been grazed its not as bad because the shoes almost stripe the field as a roller would

Dribble bars. Is 7.5 wide enough?

2 extra pipes won't make much difference as its only a 6% increase, our bomech has 36 over 7.5 meters and even then the difference between that and a 30 is minimal, its better don't get me wrong but not a huge noticeable difference

Dribble bars. Is 7.5 wide enough?

They are very popular for a reason, anything wider will have to either fold up twice on each boom or be telescopic which adds cost, weight and complexity, also as mentioned above it is better to have 2 macerators for bigger widths. We went to a 7.5 meter trailing shoe about 5 years ago on the...

    Pottinger Novacat

I get that but surely a universal joint that's not running dead straight had to oscillate back and forth as the shaft turns and I would've thought doing that 1000 times in a minute will wear out the roller bearings faster than if they only had to go around 540 times a minute. Maybe I'm wrong but...

    Pottinger Novacat

Running a pto shift at 1000 rpm will wear it out alot faster than running it at 540, also as said above some tractors have 540 e but no 1000e so can save fuel

    Pottinger Novacat

What sort of novacat, front or back, conditioner or not, surely there would be a sticker on the headstock or gearbox somewhere
