The top bearing carries all the weight all the time. The bottom bearing is only there for you to pull the belt tight against. It should not carry any weight when you fit the new bearing.

I used a length of plastic rainwater gutter for a calibration tray on a Unidrill like that.
Absolutely hopeless to calibrate that type of drill, never got any consistency of rate, over and under sowing all the time. I gave up an fitted an Accord air seeder hopper which is perfect every time.
