    Delaying autumn drilling problems

Are you saying you should not be drilling at all if the jd wont run clean or the principal of the gd that allows it to run in more adverse conditions is inferior to the jd

    Delaying autumn drilling problems

Agree with having to accept a certain level of bg on this type of land. When you are not prepared to plough, the reset button has become spring cropping or double spring cropping. I would suggest the problem of blackgrass has been escalating since the demise of ipu not the negligable affect of...

    Cross Compliance and EFAs

You are right ramrod and I got confirmation of this from Farm Advisory Service this morning. I do not need all my cross compliance margins to count towards my efa so why take the chance on roadside or garden margins. This looks like a major ****up by the RPA counting this at a multiple of nine...

    Cross Compliance and EFAs

Copied and pasted from the BPS 2018 guidance online: "The definition of the EFA buffer strips option is extended to include field margins as well as buffer strips. In addition to buffer strips adjacent or parallel with a water course, you can also claim field margins towards your EFA. The...

Very good far simpler than i was planning. How about a tube for seed delivery fitting inside the delivery hose and squashed to narrow down at soil level. What thickness is your point.

Yes I did see the bolt on point Metcalfe makes. Very expensive to convert a six meter drill and i wanted a 8mm wide point. Then again very cheap by comparison to the 15 grand /m buying a new drill.

Has welding directly to the freeflow tine been successful or brought about tine failure due to the weld or due to the extra force involved in direct drilling. I am considering welding a bracket directly to the tine to take a narrow low disturbance point and seed tube holder
