Yep you can get entitlements as a new farmer from the National Reserve, as long as you started your farming activity less than 5 years before you first BPS application. However who knows if the National Reserve will exist in 2022, there is the potential that it may not and then unfortunately you...

But I thought you said you were 'new'? Say you make your first BPS application in 2021 you need to have started your farming activity in 2016 or later. You can apply for entitlements as a 'new' farmer.

If you are a new farmer or a young farmer (under 40) you can apply for entitlements from the National Reserve. You will be given them free of charge. The claim deadline was 17 May but the late claim deadline is 11 June. You've still got time to apply but you'll get a1% reduction to your payment...
