    600mm plain flat disc

Thanks for the swift responses. The destoner discs are plenty big enough and will probably sort the job with some modifications. Separately, laser master are spot on for most jobs. Last little thing they did for me was a few female/female ram mount couplers. Don’t do the sums on the cost...

    600mm plain flat disc

Looking to source a plain soil leading disc for a drill project that is bigger than the normal range. Using a 460mm plain disc at present and want to try something nearer 600mm. There’s a few around the 500mm diameter but nothing I can find bigger than that. Obviously there’s stud pcd...

Pick up truck tool storage ideas?

Anyone have any bright, simple and ideally affordable solutions for tool and spare parts storage in the load bay for double cab pick up trucks? Obviously initially a pair of knee pads are on the shopping list but I’d like to aim slightly higher. Drawers under false load bed and then a...

    Imploding vacuum tanker

Old tanker 35 years old had air in tyres, no lights, no brakes and a pump with seals gone yet again. Ok for a water bowser sort of thing. Sold to a mate for scrap money plus a pint. New to me tanker has pretty wheels, tidy pump, over 1500 gallons and with valves, hoses and an hour in the...

    Imploding vacuum tanker

Thanks. A good example of the range of opinions and options that makes this forum most enjoyable and useful.

    Imploding vacuum tanker

Looking for wisdom, failing that ‘quick bodges and creations’. Elderly but functional slurry tanker is beginning to implode. If everything but the tank wasn’t working fine I’d probably scrap the thing but as it only gets occasional use for 3-4 loads at a time the sensible options are limited...

    Mini hydropower

I’d almost enjoy a discussion with anyone in authority. I’ve done nothing wrong yet so have the moral high ground. In reality I realise that many farms have had back to back inspections from RPA, BCMS and HMRC for no obviously connected reason.....

    Mini hydropower

We’ve got redundant Leats and sluce infrastructure from the mining days that worked the stamps back in the day. It’s a simple uninvasive job to reinstate but advised to lay low.... Photo below doesn’t really tell the whole story but gives an example of the potential.

    Mini hydropower

I was reliably informed 10 years ago that you either need to fight the paperwork for 5 years or just do the project on the quiet. Nothing has changed yet it would appear.

    Hydraulic weed puller

Any chance of a hydraulic motor serial number picture if you have time?

The very machine we’ve been stalking! Thanks

    Hydraulic weed puller

There are a few harvesting rigs using the armer salmon system but I’m hoping that the simplicity of the stalk puller system will suit my production shortcomings. My main grey area at the moment is hydraulic motor spec. In the perfect world someone would tip me off with a photo showing a serial...

    Hydraulic weed puller

Suffolk Farm Machinery have been too busy to communicate over the last 18 months.

    Hydraulic weed puller

The one I’m keen on uses a pair of 18 inch wheels which multiplied up to 6 gangs of wheel pairs would work on my 6 row, 36 inch spaced crops. I think there’s 4 hydraulic motors across that width of machine. I think the German manufacturer ‘klunder’ do one similar. 18 foot in one pass on row...
